We’ll start this Release Note with something shackling the European e-commerce world. In recent eCommerce news, the European Union has intensified its scrutiny of major Chinese online platforms, Temu and Shein. The European Commission has given these companies a ten-day deadline to provide comprehensive details on their operations following concerns raised by consumer organizations.
As very large online platforms (VLOPs), Temu and Shein are subject to stringent regulations under the Digital Services Act, which mandates robust measures against illegal and harmful content. The EU’s tech regulators seek clarity on various aspects, including user reports of illegal products, interface designs to avoid dark patterns, minors’ protection, and recommender systems’ transparency.
It remains to be seen whether these two popular platforms will fulfill the requests. Until then, let’s see what’s been going on in SyncSpider.

Improved integrations
Akeneo
For Akeneo users, we’ve actively addressed the bug that was causing issues with sending Prices from Akeneo as the source.
Magento 2
We updated Magento 2 version 1.2.6-p2. We also made adjustments to The “Attribute Group Name [attribute_group_name]” field so it can be mapped under “Dynamic Attributes Collection [dynamic_attributes]” collection to provide the attribute group name where the attribute needs to be assigned to – in case the attribute is already assigned to the attribute set then the attribute is not assigned to the attribute group, only attributes which are not part of the attribute set are assigned to the provided attribute group.
eBay
We fixed the issue with incremental import on eBay and the problem with incomplete Variations format name.
PrestaShop
We solved the problem some of our users experienced when sending orders from Dokan to Prestashop. It displayed an API error on the currency.
DataHub
- We fixed the issue with the Lookup connection, and now it’s working properly.
SyncSpider Core Updates
- We fixed weekly and monthly scheduling issues some users experienced.
